Meadowlink Linear Park Upgrade

Background

Hume City Council is planning more improvements to Meadowlink Linear Park, Broadmeadows at the Railway Crescent entrance and is seeking your feedback on the concept landscape plan. New seating and picnic areas, a half basketball court, feature landscape and tree planting are planned to make a welcoming entrance to the park for more people to enjoy.

The concept design

The proposed concept design will include:

  • New pedestrian paths
  • Picnic tables and benches
  • A feature wall with lighting and seating integrated
  • New tree planting and landscaping improvements
  • A half basketball court.

The basketball court

A new half basketball court is proposed along the northern boundary adjacent to 60 King William Street, Broadmeadows. The half basketball court will include:

  • A basketball tower with a ring and net
  • A noise reduction backboard
  • A colour painted concrete court.
