Hume City Council completed a Local Area Traffic Management (LATM) Study of the Sunbury West area bounded by the Calder Freeway, Gap Road, Horne Street, Riddell Road, Dalrymple Road and Deverall Road.
Residents were invited to provide details of traffic issues within the LATM study area. The information provided highlighted 300 issues and was used to prepare a proposed traffic management plan. In April and May 2020 the plan was presented to residents, local businesses and the public transport authority to provide feedback.
Feedback was received from 22 people about the proposed traffic management plan through an on-line mapping tool, email and phoning the responsible traffic engineer. This information, together with further research by Traffic Engineering was used to review the traffic management plan and additional investigations were conducted in order to develop a Final Traffic Management Plan.
