The Housing Diversity Strategy is an important plan for Council and the community, to ensure there is a home for everyone in Hume over the next 20 years.

During the consultation period Council was able to reach more than 3000 people on social media and spoke to locals at three of Hume's local shopping centres, and at dedicated evening drop-in sessions.

A draft Strategy was created based on this feedback and put out for community consultation. More than 100 community members provided survey or written submissions. This feedback was considered and, where appropriate, changes were made. The final Housing Diversity Strategy was adopted on 22 June 2020.
