Planning Scheme Amendment C237 applies to land at 2 Northcorp Boulevard, Broadmeadows (located at the entrance of the Northcorp Industrial Park along Camp Road).

The Amendment proposes to rezone the land from Schedule 5 of the Special Use Zone (SUZ5) to Commercial 2 Zone (C2Z) at the request of the landowner.

What does Amendment C237 propose

Amendment C237 proposes changes to the zoning from Special Use Zone to Commercial Zone to support the growth of jobs and business in the Northcorp Industrial Park in Broadmeadows.

It does this by making use of the site’s location next to the Hume Highway and its position within the Northcorp Industrial Park, a State Significant Industrial Precinct.

The Amendment is supported by a draft Section 173 Agreement (legal agreement). This agreement requires that no belowground structures are built unless an environmental audit is completed and approved by the Responsible Authority to manage risks from any landfill gas.
