Hume City Council sought input to help generate a vision for improvements and interesting temporary installations within the Civic Plaza Broadmeadows with the aim of creating activity and visual interest within the plaza and surrounds. This project allowed Council to pilot and test ideas that will help inform further development of the Hume Central precinct, to create engaging and vibrant places.
Improvements and temporary installations may include:
Outdoor furniture
Landscaping and shade
Interactive play
Lighting and other installations
The project is being delivered in partnership with the Victorian Government.
The survey asked respondents how they currently use the space, what could be improved and what was important to them in the future design. Ideas about how we can make Civic Plaza a vibrant and inviting destination for the community were collected.
