Council is reviewing its Fencing of Council Reserves Policy and we are seeking community feedback. The Policy provides guidance to the type of fencing that will be provided at Hume City sports reserves and grounds and will be utilised when developing new or redeveloping existing active sports reserves and grounds.
The review of the Policy includes consideration of the following items:
- Confirms the criteria for the provision of spectator fencing at regional sports sites
- Establishes a standard fencing type that surrounds active sports reserves
- Establishes criteria for the provision of a picket fence at an active sports reserve
- Provides criteria for the provision of high ball fencing if required at a sports reserve.
Council will be considering submissions from Hume sports clubs & associations, State sporting associations, peak sporting authorities, Hume community groups and residents. Council would like to understand which parts of the Policy are supported, which parts need to be refined and anything you think is missing that Council should consider
