Background

The Hume City Council (HCC) Community Engagement Policy was adopted 22 February 2021, in line with the Local Government Act 2020. The development of the policy coincided with review of Hume Horizons 2040 Community Plan. Hume City Council community members were consulted on the development of the policy through online surveys, online workshops, and telephone surveys. As required in Council Report GE497 the Community Engagement Policy is due for review by the end of March 2022.

Review approach

Stakeholder feedback was undertaken between November 2021 and January 2022. Community feedback and submissions are currently being analysed in preparation for finalisation of the review.
