Background

We are undertaking renewal works at Lackenheath Drive Reserve, Tullamarine. The improvements will provide new play equipment, better path connections, and additional shade through tree planting.

We are consulting on the concept plan which proposes:

  • play unit
  • rocker
  • spinner
  • swings

You can see what is planned on the concept map below.

Brendon Agpasa says:

Would see play unit, rocker, spinner, and swings for more fun play equipment, as well as exercise equipment, BBQs and picnic tables as well.

8 June, 2025

Marie says:

Definitely more shelter , barbecue area, water fountain, kids love flying fox or a basket ball ring?

6 June, 2025

BLA says:

Need to be more creative, very same same just “new”. A lot of land being wasted what about a bike track, walking track, shelter, rock play

5 June, 2025

Kelly says:

Looks pretty much the same, how about some shade, better or more fun play equipment, bbqs, exercise equipment .

5 June, 2025

Meaganj says:

Looks great but please please please do not put flowers and wattle trees all around the place like seabrook reserve, there's bees everywhere

5 June, 2025

Gemma says:

Not very creative or exciting. Looks not much different to what’s already there; Will essentially just be newer. Could be a bit more excitin

4 June, 2025

Local resident 15yrs says:

Nothing. This is a 'spit & polish'. Even the play equivalent will be almost identical to current. Please do MUCH better. BBQ. Shelter. Etc

27 May, 2025

Glenn says:

Anything is better than what’s there. Lots of younger families in the area now and lots of grandkids with the older generations. I’m sure we

Jayden says:

Appreciate the upgrade to the playground. A dog friendly fenced off section would be good. It's alot of land going to waste. Elmhurst vibes

Maria Kloufetos says:

I like all the proposals. Whatever you can do to improve the playground & landscaping would be welcome asvI go there with my grandaughter.

21 May, 2025

Deb says:

The park on the roundabout of Mickleham and Melrose Rd in Tullamarine hasn’t changed in 38 years and is a disgrace. Try doing that one too.

21 May, 2025

Aimee says:

I would like a dog park built instead

What I'd change

What I'd change

What changes would you make?

6 June, 2025

Ashleigh says:

A much bigger play space as there’s so much land there. BBQ and shade more tables and a lot more play equipment can be used in the space

5 June, 2025

Dj says:

Include a fenced in dog park on the other side.

5 June, 2025

Libby says:

Enclosed fencing for road safety. Dog friendly area. Shade structures, BBQ and picnic benches. Young kids playhouse. Table tennis tables

5 June, 2025

Katrina says:

Less mulch and more rubber surface. Mulch is really challenging for children crawling/ learning to walk or if they fall over.

5 June, 2025

Local resident says:

More variety in the play equipment! Fenced off for safety! And a shelter/BBQ area! Maybe a water play section?? None in the area currently.

4 June, 2025

Local resident 15yrs says:

There should be CHANGES. Improvements. Where is the shelter? A BBQ? A basketball court perhaps? A flying fox? This land is HUGE; use it!

3 June, 2025

Sneh says:

I'd like to add outdoor gym that is accessible to everyone. E.g. See Outdoor Gym at Head St, Elwood, near Elwood Pier, it is fantastic!

3 June, 2025

Holly says:

bike track for the kids and few more bench seats with the cover. upgrade version of the play unit with some shade too.

29 May, 2025

Domenic says:

I would love to see a undercover Bbq area for all park users to enjoy together. I would love to see a dedicated outdoor gym equipment area

26 May, 2025

Gabi says:

We would love a shelter in here and a water tap for the kids to drink from, Water play would be amazing as this is the most used park

26 May, 2025

B says:

Please give Gladstone Park spaces attention, especially Barrington Crescent

23 May, 2025

Alyson says:

Would love a dog park in the area. Lots of options for spaces which could be easily fenced off to allow this.
