Across the festive season, homes and businesses will Make Hume Shine with Christmas lights and decorations.
Share your Christmas lighting or display with us for your chance to win a share in $2,000 worth of prizes!
There are two competition categories:
- Residential - open to Hume residents for their home lights and displays
- Business - open to businesses located in Hume that are displaying lights and decorations.
The prizes are:
- Residential 1st place: $1,000 e-gift card
- Residential 2nd place: $500 e-gift card
- Residential 3rd place: $250 e-gift card
- Business winner: $250 e-gift card.
Finalists will be announced on 16 December 2024 and winners will be decided via public vote on this page.
The voting period will start 9am 16 December and close at 11.59pm 22 December 2024.
Winners will be contacted directly by Hume City Council.

Entrants must be over 18 years of age.
Entry is open to Hume residents and Business located in Hume.
By entering in the competition, you acknowledge that your photo may be used by Hume City Council and on social media, solely for promotional purposes of this competition. Photos will not be used for any other purpose unless consent is gained.
Hume City Council staff, contractors, Councillors and their immediate family are not eligible to enter the competition. Winners from 2023 Make Hume Shine are not able to enter the competition.
