Background
An application was received from Mr Josh Bull MP, Member for Sunbury, proposing that the upgraded pavilion and social rooms at Eric Boardman Reserve be named after the late Mr Allan Walters.
At its meeting held on 9 August 2021, Council also resolved general business item number MED300, being:
"That Council look at the new pavilion to be built at Boardman Oval for the Sunbury Kangaroos that it be named the Allan Walters Pavilion in recognition of the work that he did for the club."
In accordance with the Naming Rules for Places in Victoria – Statutory Requirements for Naming Roads, Features and Localities – 2016, and Hume City Council’s Place Names Policy, Council is inviting local residents to have their say on this naming proposal.
