Background

We invite community to share their feedback on the draft concept plan for the playspace in Wattlebird Street Reserve in Roxburgh Park.

The draft concept plan includes a renewed playspace as well as improvements to amenity such as an upgraded shelter, new seating, walking paths, fencing, a kickabout area with soccer goals and tree planting.

We’d love to hear your thoughts to help shape the final plan for the playspace which proposes including a:

  • Play combination unit
  • Carousel
  • Triple swing
  • Seesaw rocker
  • Nature play

You can see what is planned on the concept below:

Is it possible to add pickleball courts to Roxburgh Park? It's the fastest growing sport in the world.

Omar El Nahi says:

Yous really need to listen to the community, and make the grass area into a good artificial soccer pitch with good goals visible lines asap

Adem says:

Great proposal for a highly used park that is quite outdated and lacking amenities. Would be great to see outdoor gym equipment for adults.

Helles says:

What I'd change is the open field. It has potential for alot like A Court for Basketball or Football

Ayden says:

I’d change the swings to bigger and more swings. Maybe add a zip line or a soccer field as there is soo much space. A bbq as well.

Jojo says:

A water play area would be incredible, even a simple water pump for children to use

5 November, 2025

JoJo says:

Ensure the holes within the grass area are patched with new grass laid down. Please consider a BBQ as there is plenty of space.

These blue water fountains are not only hideous, but also of terrible quality. It's impossible for them to last 15 years.
