The Roxburgh Park Precinct includes the suburbs of Meadow Heights, the southern area of Roxburgh Park and the industrial area of Coolaroo and is approximately 21km north of Melbourne CBD. The Precinct is bounded by Biltmore Crescent to the North, Barry Road and Broadmeadows Valley Park to the South, the Craigieburn Rail Line to the east and Aitken Boulevard to the West.

Much of what is now the suburb of Roxburgh Park was formerly agricultural land. Roxburgh Park was developed in the 1990s as a suburban area by the Victorian Government's Urban and Regional Land Corporation (now Development Victoria).

The Precinct has a small number of community facilities that support a rich multi-cultural community, including high numbers of Iraqi and Turkish people, however, the open space in the Precinct is limited, as creek corridors and encumbered land (drainage and utility easements) form the majority of the open space network.
