What is the Active Recreation Plan?

The Active Recreation Plan is a 20-year roadmap designed to encourage individuals or communities to engage in physical activities for health, well-being, and enjoyment.

The plan will help Council make decisions about park infrastructure and other outdoor recreation spaces. It will look at how we can make these places better, safer, easier to use, and accessible for everyone - now and in the future.

Who are Council reaching out to?

We are inviting everyone in the community to have their say on the Active Recreation Plan. Whether you

  • enjoy walking your dog in a park
  • play informal sport with your friends on a sports ground or court
  • use outdoor exercise equipment in a park
  • or would love to do these things

your input will help shape the future of Hume’s Active Recreation facilities, infrastructure and opportunities.

We want to hear from people who live, work, or play in Hume.
