What is the Leisure Plan?

The Leisure Plan is a 20-year roadmap for enhancing opportunities for active living in Hume by participating in the services and programs offered in our Aquatic and Leisure Centres. It aims for our aquatic and leisure facilities and services in Hume to be more accessible, inclusive and beneficial for the whole community.

By investing in the right places, at the right time, and to the right standard, the plan will ensure our aquatic and leisure facilities and programs meet the needs of our growing and diverse community. All decisions will be based on strong evidence and community input , helping us create places where people can connect and be active in ways that suit them.

The plan for the aquatic and leisure centres is being jointly developed with the Hume Indoor Sports Plan. Note: the Sunbury Aquatic and Leisure Centre (SALC) will have its own Master Plan as it needs a comprehensive, long-term strategic plan due to the facility's age and the needs of a growing population.

Who are we reaching out to?

We are inviting everyone in the community to have their say on the Leisure Plan. Whether you are:

  • a member of an Aquatic and Leisure Centre
  • work out in our gyms of group fitness classes
  • enjoy using Hume swimming pools
  • or simply have an interest

your input will help shape the future of Hume’s Aquatic and Leisure Facilities and programs.

We want to hear from people who live, work, or play in Hume.
